Last spring, Richard Hopper, Ed.M.'97, C.A.S.'00, Ed.D.'04, former World Bank education specialist, assumed his role as president of Kennebec Valley Community College in Maine. Hopper returned to the Ed School this summer to participate in the Harvard Seminar for New Presidents, an annual institute offered by the Programs in Professional Education (PPE) exclusively to newly appointed first-year presidents. In this edition of the EdCast, Hopper discusses this new phase in his career, the community college system in Maine, his time at HGSE and it's impact on his life, and the PPE seminar that inspired his return to campus.
