HGSE Expo Engages Students and Staff

Students and staff gathered at the Gutman Conference Center on Wednesday, January 31st to experience the first HGSE expo, "Beyond the Classroom."

The expo, a joint venture of Research, Innovation, and Outreach (RIO) and the Office of Student Affairs, was designed to provide students and staff with an opportunity to learn about the many different projects, opportunities, and services available at HGSE, some of which they might not encounter in their day-to-day work.

The groups represented at the expo included Alumni Relations, the Annual Fund, Career Services, the Field Experience Program, Gutman Library Research Services, Human Resources, the Achievement Gap Initiative, the Change Leadership Group, the Executive Leadership Program for Educators, Harvard Education Publishing Group, Harvard Family Research Project, the Office of School Partnerships, Programs in Professional Education, Project Zero, the Usable Knowledge website, and WIDE World.

"The expo highlighted what a vibrant community HGSE is and showcased a number of the exciting initiatives we have to offer for everyone on campus and for our alumni working in the field," said Keith Collar, executive director of RIO.

Organizers hope that the HGSE Expo will become an annual event.
