News Gardner Receives Honorary Degree Posted January 12, 2006 By News editor On January ll, 2006, Howard Gardner, Hobbs Professor of Cognition and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, received an honorary degree (honoris causa) from the University of Valparaiso in Chile. Gardner was honored for his theory of multiple intelligences and its influence in education and business.Before the award ceremony, Gardner gave an all-day seminar on this topic to 400 invited guests. Gardner now heads the GoodWork Project at Project Zero at HGSE. His most recent book is The Development and Education of the Mind (Taylor and Francis, 2006).
