News Long to Participate in White House Summit Posted January 15, 2014 By News editor Professor Bridget Terry Long, academic dean at HGSE, will participate in a White House summit on college opportunity hosted by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama on Thursday, Jan. 16. The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.According to the Washington Post, education leaders from around the country -- including more than 100 college and university presidents -- are expected to attend the summit to discuss issues of college access and share ideas on how to increase opportunities for low-income students.The event will be live-streamed at http://www.whitehouse.gov/live.
