Dean McCartney Comments on Faust Appointment

Harvard Graduate School of Education Dean Kathleen McCartney released the following statement today about the appointment of Radcliffe Dean Drew Faust as the next president of Harvard University:

Drew Faust will be an outstanding Harvard president. Over the past several years, I have had the pleasure of observing first-hand Drew's confident and effective leadership in action. She is a strong and wise voice within and beyond the university. Importantly, Drew cares deeply about the pressing problems facing education today, and I am confident that she will work effectively with the Harvard Graduate School of Education community to improve student opportunity, achievement, and success.
