Hadas Eidelman’s journey as an educator began as a teenager when she worked first as a volunteer and eventually as a paid aide in early childhood classrooms. She was lead teacher in a 4-and-5 year old classroom for several years prior to planting her roots at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she graduated with her master’s degree in human development and psychology in 2007. She went on to complete her doctorate in education at HGSE in 2014 and served as an adjunct lecturer alongside her work as a research scientist at Harvard’s Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Education. Hadas officially returned to HGSE as a lecturer in 2018. With expertise in applied statistics, disability studies, and early childhood education, Hadas teaches and serves as a mentor and advisor for students in the Education Policy and Analysis program, the Early Childhood Concentration, master’s candidates conducting research related to disability, and all who enter her classroom or otherwise cross paths with her throughout the Ed School. She serves as co-chair for the Early Childhood Concentration and loves staying connected to the learning spaces in which her career began. Hadas lives in Cambridge with her husband and their two amazing children, and she deeply enjoys making things and singing with the HGSE Staff and Faculty Band.
