Jing Qiu works at Washington University in St. Louis as a math instructional specialist with the Institute for School Partnership. She designs and facilitates professional learning addressing the implementation of high quality mathematics instruction for K-12 teachers, building administrators, and district leaders and co-led a research practice partnership with math teachers studying problems of practice involving math identity and belonging, launching cognitively demanding tasks, and vocabulary acquisition for multilingual learners. During her educational career, Qiu has focused on issues of equity in schools, advancing ambitious and equitable mathematics instruction as a teacher, teacher leader, and coach, and directing adult learning on anti-racist teaching, identity formation and interrogation, and building cultural competence. Qiu holds a B.A. from Harvard University and an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
