Igor Bascandziev is a postdoctoral fellow and a lecturer on education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In addition, he is a co-investigator on a grant funded by the National Science Foundation titled “Cognitive Mechanisms of Guided Instruction in the Early Elementary Years.” Bascandziev’s research focuses on how we, as human species, acquire knowledge. Specifically, he studies the processes of theory construction and theory revision in the context of scientific reasoning, science learning, and science education throughout the lifespan. Bascandziev holds a B.S. in psychology from the University “Sv. Kiril i Metodij” – Skopje and an Ed.M. and Ed.D. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
