Project Zero
Beck Tench is a senior researcher and designer at the Center for Digital Thriving at Harvard Graduate School of Education. With a deep curiosity about how to live well in a digitally connected world, Tench's research focuses on attention restoration, contemplative practices, and pedagogy. Tench leads the IMAGINE (Inspiring Moral AI Guidance in Education) project, funded by the John Templeton Foundation, and is currently conducting a nationwide listening tour about digital thriving. Formerly a science museum exhibit designer, Tench has been recognized by outlets like the New York Times and NPR. Tench is a Tar Heel born and bred, and holds a Ph.D. in information science from the University of Washington.
