Explore, discuss, and connect in a curated learning experience as the Harvard Institutes for Higher Education reach a pivotal milestone – reflecting on our first 50 years and looking ahead to the future of higher education leadership.
Overview
In 2020, the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its inaugural executive education program and cohort of educators, the Institute for Educational Management (IEM). IEM is the nation’s oldest and pre-eminent program for professional development of college and university leaders and has helped shape the practice, thinking, and careers of the field’s leading voices. In celebration of 50 years in executive education, HGSE is offering Reflecting on the Past, Transforming the Future on October 11-12, 2019. Through interactive discussions, moderated panels, and networking sessions, the symposium will convene thought leaders from Harvard and throughout the global higher education sector to look back at five decades of transformative leadership development, and to discover new research, best practices, and ideas needed to move the field into the future.
