On March 16–18, library leaders from across the country gathered for HIHE’s annual offering of Library Leadership in a Digital Age (LLDA). LLDA convenes faculty experts, policymakers, and library leaders to consider the current state and future direction of librarianship and library leadership. During these three enriching days, participants examined new technologies that are redefining teaching/learning processes and developed new strategies for leading libraries within rapidly changing societal, institutional, and technological contexts.
This year, HIHE welcomed two nationally-prominent library leaders — Carla Hayden, the 14th Librarian of Congress, and David Ferriero, Archivist of the United States — as members of the LLDA faculty.
Library leaders from elementary, secondary and post-secondary educational settings, public librarians, and archivists are encouraged to save the dates — March 15–17, 2018 — for the next offering of LLDA. Learn More
