IDB LogoEmiliana Vegas, Ed.M.'96, Ed.D.'01, is a leading expert on global education policy issues, including teacher policies, education finance systems, and early childhood development policies. Having spent over a decade at the World Bank, where she authored many books on the state of education in Latin America, Vegas is now chief of the education division at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington, D.C., where she leads a team working to support education systems throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. In this edition of the EdCast, Vegas examines the transformative relationship between banking and education in developing countries and reflects on her time at HGSE as a student.
