The Illiterate High Schooler

This is one of the problems that the Washington, D.C., nonprofit, Resources for Inner City Children (RICH), is hoping to help ease by providing high-quality educational resources, free of charge, to inner city schools. Their goal: for each student to reach his true academic potential, graduate high school, and become a productive adult.

Paul Penniman, executive director of RICH, explains the plight of not being able to read in high school and what he and his organization are doing to help.
