EdCast Giving a Year Posted April 25, 2012 By Matt Weber City Year is a national, education-focused nonprofit organization that works in urban schools to help students stay on track to graduate. Corps members serve full-time in schools for 10 months working as tutors, mentors, and afterschool program leaders seeking to improve student attendance, behavior, and performance. City Year has established a long-term impact goal that will challenge the graduation status quo in America, and transform the hundreds of schools with the highest needs.
