Born This Way Foundation Launch Information

On January 19, Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, announced that they will officially launch the Born This Way Foundation (BTWF) on Wednesday, February 29 at Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre. This very special Askwith Forum will be a ticketed event co-hosted by BTWF, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard, the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and The California Endowment.

While seats for the February 29 event will be very limited, we are committed to enabling access to the event for Harvard students and other community members as much as possible.

HGSE students and staff: The ticket lotteries for HGSE students and staff has concluded. Congratulations to the winners.

Harvard College students: HGSE is pleased to be working with the Undergraduate Council to run a special UC TKTS lottery for this event. 

General Public: Members of the general public can enter a lottery for tickets by “liking” the Harvard Graduate School of Education on Facebook and leaving a comment on the Lady Gaga BTWF Raffle page. 

Please note: Tickets are not available through the Harvard Box Office or Sanders Theatre.

Ticket-holder information:

You must pick up your ticket between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the day of the event, Wednesday, February 29, at the Memorial Hall Ticket Office, 45 Quincy Street. All tickets must be claimed by no later than 2 p.m. You must present a valid ID to receive your ticket – only you will be able to receive the ticket. (A valid Harvard ID is required for winners of the student and staff lotteries.) Tickets are non-transferable.

Doors to Sanders Theatre will open at 3 p.m., and there will be reserved seating. Attendees must be seated by 3:45 p.m. Please bring your ticket and ID for admittance. For security reasons, no backpacks, cameras, larger purses, or bags will be allowed in Sanders.
