Derron Wallace is a sociologist of education whose work is focused on inequalities and identities of race, class and gender in urban schools and neighborhoods. He has taught The Other African American: Comparative Perspectives on Black Ethnic Diversity
and Critical Perspectives in Urban Education
, both at Brandeis University. Dr. Wallace received the 2015 Distinguished Dissertation Award, Division G, of the American Educational Research Association. Derron Wallace received his B.A. in Sociology & African Diaspora Studies from Wheaton College, his M.Phil. in Educational Research and Ph.D. in Sociology of Education, both from the University of Cambridge.
