2018 China Education Symposium

Description: 

The theme of 2018 China Education Symposium (CES) is “Where We Started, Where We Are Heading.” In this year’s conference, more than 30 top scholars, practitioners, and policymakers from all over the world will gather at Harvard Graduate School of Education and share their knowledge and expertise in six main panels:

  • International Education
  • Early Childhood Education
  • STEAM and Innovative Learning
  • Higher Education
  • Rural Education
  • Ed Tech and Big Data

In addition to panel discussions, there will also be a variety of interactive workshops and activities, such as:

  • Education Career Fair
  • MakerSpace
  • CES EdStory Talk
  • Documentary Premiere
  • Deep Dive

Guests and participants will include researchers, scholars, and practitioners from different education sectors all over the Greater China region and the globe, such as:

  • Jingnan Liu, Chancellor of Duke Kunshan University
  • Fernando M. Reimers, the Ford Foundation Professor of the Practice in International Education and Director of the International Education Policy Program at HGSE
  • Marijk Van Der Wender, Dean of Graduate Studies and Professor of Higher Education at Utrecht University
  • Bangxin Zhang, President and chief executive officer of TAL Education Group
