Office and Staff

The Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging is a central hub to guide and shape the programming, learning opportunities, and strategic direction of HGSE’s diversity efforts. It offers collaborative thought partnership for students, faculty, and staff — a launching pad for inspired programming and community building. It also creates space to discuss concerns, raise questions, and work toward solutions.

The office leverages expertise and cooperative relationships within HGSE and across Harvard University and the broader community, working to develop tools and resources that will advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging — at the school, in the field of education, and in the wider world. The office creates opportunities for informal discussions, conferences, and community-wide events that celebrate the richness of the lived experiences of HGSE's community members. It builds community through webinars, social media initiatives, group meet-ups, and one-on-one brainstorming sessions.

Through his work in the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), Alex serves as a source of support by providing advice, guidance, and advocacy to student organizations — planning programs and events related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, as well as mentorship and leadership development to individual students and student organizations.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Specialist

Corine provides direct support to staff around Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging and develops workshop content, curriculum, toolkits, and cases for the HGSE community. They also manage the staff affinity spaces and conversations with staff, providing knowledge, tools, and learning opportunities for growth in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Outcomes. In addition, they manage the logistics for programming, community-wide events, and represent HGSE on internal committees and workgroups.
