Communications and Marketing

The Office of Communications and Marketing tells the story of HGSE’s collective impact and leadership in the field of education. We develop strategic content across a variety of platforms, with a goal of sharing actionable insights that help create new opportunities for educators, leaders, students, and communities; celebrating the impact of HGSE's community; and enhancing the value of HGSE's brand. We also lead enrollment marketing, other strategic marketing initiatives, and a range of web initiatives for HGSE, ensuring that all communications embody our commitment to impact. Our work is anchored in our Brand, Visual Identity, and Content Guidelines.

Our Marketing Focus

Learn to change the world images

The marketing team is responsible for executing strategies to help grow awareness of HGSE’s offerings and drive results, including advertising, collateral, and events. More specific information is available on the HGSE Brand and Visual Identity Guidelines site

Our expertise includes:

  • Strategic thinking surrounding digital presence and marketing, including recommended external vendors
  • Developing creative digital content (e.g. digital advertising, posters, brochures) 
  • Guidance on proper brand usage
  • Community activation through events to build audience engagement
  • Guidance on Salesforce and Marketing Cloud strategy

Web and Digital Strategy

Our digital team offers strategic consulting, training, and implementation logistics.

Our offerings and expertise include:

  • Overall digital strategy and theming to unite HGSE’s web initiatives and manage the growth of the website
  • Training in Drupal, the content management system for HGSE’s website, for faculty and staff who maintain web pages
  • Advising on new custom pages on the HGSE website, including specialized landing pages and new sections
  • Along with partners in HGSE IT, approval of HGSE subdomain requests
  • Social media guidance and support
