Please note that the information below refers to the HGSE application for enrollment in the Ed.M. Program for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Eligibility

The Harvard Graduate School of Education will accept a maximum of three applications from one individual over the course of his or her lifetime.

You are eligible to reapply for the 2021-2022 academic year without resubmitting all supporting documents if one or both of your previous applications were for the 2018-2019, 2019-2020, and/or 2020-2021 academic years. In these cases, the requirements are as follows:

*If you are reapplying to the C.A.S. program, please be sure to follow the instructions found on the C.A.S. application page.

Unofficial transcripts do not need to be resubmitted during the application process unless new courses were taken or a new degree program was completed. GRE scores are optional. If you choose to submit GRE scores, the test must have been taken on or after July 1, 2015. If applicable, TOEFL/IELTS scores only need to be resubmitted if the test was taken before January 1, 2019.

If you applied for any academic year prior to 2018-2019, you must resubmit all of your supporting documents when you reapply.

Current HGSE Students and HGSE Alumni

Currently registered HGSE degree candidates and HGSE alumni who applied for admission for the 2018-2019, 2019-2020, or 2020-2021 academic years may follow the "Reapplication Procedures" outlined above.

HGSE alumni who graduated before 2018 must submit a new application and all supporting documents, with the exception of the HGSE transcript – the Admissions Office will obtain this document on your behalf.

Non-degree HGSE students must submit an application and all supporting documents, including their HGSE transcript.
