Mentoring Program
- Sponsor-a-Match. A contribution of $1500 will cover all costs associated with supporting a mentor/mentee match for one-year.
- Healthy Bodies/Healthy Minds Scholarship Fund. This fund was developed out of a concern for the physical well-being of our mentees. Mentors and mentees create a health plan outlining specific goals around healthy eating and exercising. A specified amount of money is deposited in a college account as each child achieves her or his goals for healthy living.
- Inventing the Future College Fund. This fund will provide support for those mentees interested in going to college but unable to do so without financial assistance. Funds will be deposited in a college fund based on academic achievements each marking period.
Tutoring Program
- The Book Nook (reference books and maintenance of library)
- Enrichment Activities (educational puzzles; games; graduate student-led workshops; annual fieldtrip to Harvard)
G.O.A.L.S. Program for Girls
- Summer Session 2002. Weekly activities will include planting a community garden, creating a documentary film of life at Brandywyne Village, and designing a GOALS website. Sample budget items include gardening supplies ($120); video equipment ($1000); and a web workshop ($150).
