Online renewals and interlibrary loan services are also available.

To assist incoming students to work efficiently and make effective use of Harvard's many resources, the Research Services staff offer workshops throughout the year and are also available for hour-long appointments to assist with all areas of research, from class-assigned papers to dissertation proposals. What Students Say about the Gutman Library

"Take time to talk to the research resource people in the library. Here at Harvard if you don't know how to use the research tools available, you're really at a disadvantage."
-Ed.M. student, Administration, Planning, and Social Policy

"The place to talk and sleep and read and study hard."
-Ed.M. student

"You are in the one place in all the world scholars come to visit physically and on the web to utilize resources they can't locate anywhere else. As a student, you can access the resources here but you can't get your hands on them until you learn how to use the libraries."
-Ed.D. student, Learning and Teaching

"The librarians here are terrific companions in the research process. They are here to assist masters and doctoral students as they pursue research interests. You can set up personal appointments as you pursue your studies and gain research skills and knowledge of Harvard University library resources."
-Ed.D. student, Learning and Teaching
