Longfellow Hall, with its red brick and white trim, is visibly different than the more modern Larsen Hall and Gutman Library. Radcliffe Yard, immediately behind Longfellow Hall, is surrounded by the buildings of the Radcliffe Institute. The similarity between Longfellow and the buildings of Radcliffe is explained by the fact that Longfellow was originally itself part of Radcliffe.
Today, Longfellow houses classrooms and various offices throughout the building. The Conroy Commons (cafeteria), Career Services Office, Financial Aid, Registration Office, and student mailboxes are located on the lower level. The main level is the home of the Askwith Lecture Hall. The Elliot Lyman Room can be found on the second floor. For wheelchair accessibility, there is a ramp at the left hand entrance of Longfellow Hall and an elevator on the first floor.
