About The COOP
 

The Coop is located in the center of Harvard Square. There are primarily two sections of The Coop -- a general bookstore with a coffee shop, and a section that specializes in Harvard University insignia apparel and gift items, in addition to chocolates, posters, textbooks, and school supplies. Harvard textbooks are sold on the third floor. The second floor primarily offers stationary supplies and the main floor contains Harvard apparel and gift items.The Coop offers student memberships for a nominal fee. The main benefit of membership is an annual refund of a percent of the student's total Coop purchases for the year. The Coop also accepts Crimson Cash. The "Getting to The Coop and Contact Information" link below will guide you to the section of The Coop that offers textbooks, supplies, apparel and gifts.

Directions to the COOP.
 

Begin at Gutman

2. Continue past Gutman to the corner of Appian Way and Brattle Street.

3. At the corner, turn left onto Brattle Street.

4. Proceed along Brattle.

5. At the end of the third block, the sidewalk will split with the main portion veering left. Do not go left. Continue to the right on the sidewalk along the edge of the street.

6. Follow the sidewalk around the corner and down the block.

7. Continue one block to The Coop

8. Continue around the corner to the left.

If you choose to enter this door, you will find the clothing department on the main level. Going to the back of the clothing department and up the stairs will lead to a gift department. Just up the stairs into the gift department are escalators to the second floor. The second floor has stationary supplies. There are stairs to the third floor at the back of the stationary department. Course materials are on the third floor.

9. Go down Palmer Street along the side of The Coop.

Welcome to the Harvard Coop!

The gift department is inside these doors. Turn left inside and go to the back of the department to find an elevator and stairs to the second floor for stationary supplies or to the third floor for course materials.
