APPLYING FOR AID

If you would still like to apply for financial aid for the 2006-2007 academic year, you may download the appropriate financial aid application from the Forms and Publications page.

See below for detailed information on the financial aid application process for the 2006-2007 academic year. Please be sure to apply for financial aid by the stated deadlines. .

Applications that meet the stated deadlines will be given first priority for funding. It is in your best interest to apply for financial aid on time, as funds are limited.

2006-2007 New Applicants or Returning Students to a new Degree Program (U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents)

  • The 2006-2007 HGSE Financial Aid Application must be postmarked by February 3, 2006 and should be sent directly to the HGSE Financial Aid Office. Applicants need to complete the Financial Aid Application in order to activate their financial aid file. If you do not have a copy of the HGSE catalogue, you can download a copy of the 2006-2007 Financial Aid Application Form (Note: this file requires the free Adobe Acrobat reader software.) or you may contact the Financial Aid Office directly to request the Financial Aid Application be sent to you.

  • TheFile your FAFSA on-line! 2006-2007 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is due by February 3, 2006 and should be submitted directly to the Federal Processing Center -- When completing the FAFSA, please note that parental information is not required. If you have not yet received your W-2 forms prior to completing the FAFSA, please estimate your income to the best of your ability; we will update your record upon receiving your tax return.

    To ensure that the FAO receives a processed copy of your document from the Federal Student Aid Programs, please make sure that you list our full school name and address in the appropriate space on the FAFSA, as well as our Federal Institution Code (E00213).

  • 2005 Federal Income Tax Return (a signed copy) postmarked by March 3, 2006 to HGSE Financial Aid Office. Married students need to submit their joint tax return, or, if filing separately from their spouse, need to submit their spouse's tax return as well. Students not filing a tax return need to notify the HGSE Financial Aid Office of this in writing; please send us a brief memo stating that you do not file US taxes. If you file your taxes using the telefile system, you MUST provide us with a copy of the worksheet (please be sure to sign and date this worksheet).

  • Copies of 2005 W-2s and 1099 Tax Forms(include spouse's if applicable)

Continuing Students (U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents)

Complete Financial Aid Packets for continuing students will be available in the HGSE Financial Aid Office beginning in January 2006.

  • The 2006-2007 HGSE Financial Aid Application is due by April 19, 2006 in the HGSE Financial Aid Office. Please note that if you wish to be considered for any Restricted Scholarships this deadline is the same for all applicants and students February 3, 2006
