The Principals' Center is pleased to announce the next members-only webinar with the HGSE Lecturer on Education, Daniel Wilson on December 6, 2012.
Collaboration in groups is an essential component of educational life for administrators, teachers and students. One needs to look no farther than the current calls for creating professional learning communities, cross-functional teams and shared leadership in today’s schools. However socially appealing these labels seem, the unfortunate fact remains that groups are often a frustrating and ineffective experience for many of their members. Learn why is this and how you can create the conditions that support effective collaboration.
During the webinar, you will learn new strategies to improve team effectiveness, innovation and leadership.
Key ideas will be presented from a diverse range of contexts—including high performing athletic teams, world-class design innovation teams, as well as effective schools from around the world—with the intent to challenge you to craft analogous strategies into your own educational context.
