A to B: Why I Got into Education

Submissions

Ed. is now accepting submissions for A to B: Why I Got Into Education, a new feature in the magazine, from members of the Ed School community (current students, graduates, faculty, and staff). Here are the guidelines:

  • The piece should explore how and why you got into education.
  • We’re not looking for academic papers. We want short, personal narratives that tell a story.
  • You don't necessarily have to write the sentence, "I got into education because...." but that certainly can be worked into the piece if you feel that it helps.
  • The piece must be written in the first person.
  • Word count is 700 maximum — no exceptions.
  • At the end, include one or two sentences explaining who you are. Include an e-mail address and phone number, for internal use only.
  • Send submissions to: Lory_hough@harvard.edu.

Please note that we only publish three issues of the magazine per academic year and therefore cannot print every submission that we receive. We also reserve the right to edit the piece for clarity and space. We will do our best to respond to your submission in a timely manner.
