On April 15, 2003, Assistant Professor Bridget Terry Long addressed the 5th annual Higher Education at Harvard Program.

Long's talk, "The Problem of College Attrition: Could Institutions Do More?" focused on the troubling stories about graduation rates in the United States, in an era when college graduates will make a million dollars more over their lifetime than high-school graduates—what Long terms "the million-dollar question."
