Relief Funds
- The DonorsChoose
program is marketplace where entrepreneurial teachers
describe classroom needs and contributors decide where to put
their money. Right now, teachers are proposing "Classroom
Care Packages" for students dislocated by Hurricane Katrina.

The Mississippi
School Boards Association (MSBA) has established
the Mississippi Hurricane Katrina School Relief Fund (KSRF)
to help schools get the emergency relief needed to become operational,
assist displaced school employees and their families, return
children affected by Hurricane Katrina to their normal routines
as soon as possible, and assure that displaced children do not
have to drop out of school due to the financial hardship. Schools,
school districts, businesses, organizations and individuals

The Mississippi
School Boards Association (MSBA) is coordinating
an effort to match Mississippi schools affected by Hurricane
Katrina with other schools, school districts, businesses, organizations
and individuals that can help meet school needs. Your assistance
can range from a one-time shipment of school supplies to providing
ongoing assistance over a period of time. Any school, school
district, business, organization or individual is eligible to

- The Louisiana
Department of Education has established a Hurricane
Katrina Relief Fund that will operate through a non-profit foundation,
which will carefully match personal monetary donations with the
needs of Louisiana school systems. You can also donate supplies
such as book bags, textbooks, school supplies and uniforms. Visit
