As a presidential election is upon us, a campaign has begun at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Two camps, each with fervent belief about the school’s name, have emerged. On one side, Hugsy; on the other HGSE.

Hoa can I vote for HGSE?

There can be no debate! It is crystal clear: HUGSY is superior to HGSE.

I come from a family of Harvard grads, but I’m the only one who attended HGSE. I’m already looked at as the black sheep of the family because I went to what my cousins and brother consider (falsely) the least rigorous, intellectually challenging faculty to begin with. I don’t think HGSE needs the added burden of a silly, schmaltzy nickname when its already trying to counteract this reputation. Say NO to HUGSY!

What ever you select it will still be called in Greater Boston the “Ed School” and other names as you get further away!
