Janet Connors is an approach that focuses on the needs of the victims and communities affected by violent crime, and their journey to healing. One of Boston’s most tireless advocates for this approach is , a woman who worked for years in violence prevention programs in the Boston neighborhood of Dorchester only to see her son killed by an act of violence in 2001.

In this edition of the Harvard EdCast, Connors reflects on the unique philosophy of restorative justice and examines how it can bring peace into difficult situations.

How lucky we all were to have Janet on our campus. My hope is the work continues to expand in Boston and be discussed at HGSE. Great job, organizers!
