Obama’s 2020 College Graduation GoalBy newseditor
Join influential leaders in higher education to discuss President Obama’s 2020 Goal of America to double the number of college graduates. Currently, only 50 percent of college students graduate with a degree. To remain competitive as a country and build on the amazing potential of our students, we must figure out how to stem this tide. Professor Bridget Terry Long will moderate the discussion with panelists Martha Kanter, Ed.M.’74, under secretary of education, U.S. Department of Education; Rolando Montoya, provost, Miami Dade College; and Hilary Pennington, former director of education, Postsecondary Success, and Special Initiatives at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
This event was held on Monday, April 30. Watch this space for a video of the forum in the upcoming weeks.
