For 10 years, students, educators, practitioners, scholars, and advocates have gathered to discuss issues of educational equity at the HGSE Alumni of Color Conference (AOCC). This year’s 10th anniversary celebration – Disrupting the Discourse: Discussing the “Undiscussable” – will be held March 2-3 in Cambridge, Mass. It will feature workshops and panel sessions, along with keynote addresses from:

  • John H. Jackson, Ed.M.’98, Ed.D.’01
President and CEO, The Schott Foundation for Public Education
    (Sponsored by Askwith Forums)
  • Lee Mun Wah
Filmmaker and Diversity Trainer, Founder of StirFry Seminars & Consulting
  • Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot, Ed.D.’72
Emily Hargroves Fisher Professor of Education, Harvard Graduate School of Education

In anticipation of this special event, the AOCC’s founders and past organizers reflected on a decade of success in a short video.

Leading up to the conference, additional videos from AOCC founders sharing stories of impact and growth will be posted on the AOCC website and Facebook page.

Please visit the AOCC website for the entire conference schedule and registration information. For questions, please contact aocc2012@gmail.com.
