Gutman Library is committed to providing library services to HGSE students and faculty working at a distance. We provide access to the library's remote circulation, document delivery, and research services.

Access to Harvard Libraries Electronic Resources

Distance Book and Article Delivery

Using Distance Delivery Services, students and faculty at a distance may obtain books from Gutman and Widener libraries, as well as photocopies of articles available in journals held at Harvard and other institutions.

Dissertation Consultations-- Work with one research librarian throughout the dissertation process on research strategies, finding appropriate resources, and more. Please contact us.

Transcription Kit and Digital Voice Record Loans (Pilot)

Distance Services has a limited number of transcription kits and digital voice recorders available for loan. Request equipment.

Letter of Introduction to a Local Library

A potentially good resource for students working at a distance is a local academic library. The Librarian can write a letter of introduction requesting that local libraries extend library privileges. Request a letter.
