Terri Grey
Ed.M. SLP '02
Terri
Grey joined the Edward Brooke Charter School as assistant principal during the
school's start-up phase, after having just earned her Ed.M. Her responsibilities
include helping to create the school culture by shaping and enforcing discipline
policy, organizing whole school events and meetings, and working with the faculty
to create a strong culture of teaching and learning in the classrooms. The school's
principal recruited Terri after seeing her resume on the eRecruiting website
sponsored by HGSE's Career Services Office. "My experience in the School
Leadership Program coupled with my background as an educator and school leader
helped me develop the critical analytical skills needed to enter a new school
as a leader," says Terri. "I found that the experiential practicum
aspect of each course that I took at HGSE gave me a lens through which to reflect
upon my school-based experiences and establish a new philosophy and clear goals
for my career as a school administrator."
