Allison Brown CollinsRisk & Prevention, Ed.M. 1994In July 2004, I began my third year as Assistant Principal at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School. As the sole Assistant Principal for a suburban high school of approximately 700 students, I manage student discipline on a daily basis, supervise and evaluate teachers, assist the Principal with budget development, oversee special programs and support services, and coordinate Section 504 accommodations. This year, I launched a youth substance abuse prevention coalition with the support of faculty, students, parents, law enforcement, and community members. Since my graduation from R&P ten years ago, I have worked as a school counselor in public and private schools, a Guidance Director for a large suburban high school, and I am currently working in school administration at a mid-size suburban high school. My R and P background provided me with the flexibility to smoothly transition between counseling and administration, always maintaining a focus on intervention services and prevention programs for at-risk youth. |
