Sue Stuebner Gaylor
Ed.D. HE '03
Sue
Gaylor's research focuses on private, regional, liberal arts colleges,
examining decision-making and the role of the president in these often financially
vulnerable institutions. Her dissertation, "Context
Matters: Understanding Presidential Power at Three Private, Regional, Liberal
Arts Colleges" (16KB pdf), was supervised by Professor Richard Chait,
chair, Senior Lecturer Judith McLaughlin, and Pforzheimer Professor Susan
Moore Johnson. Sue's research informs her current work as the executive
assistant to the president and institutional planning officer of Lycoming
College. Sue also serves on several boards of directors, including the Forum
for the Future, the Lycoming Country Health Improvement Coalition, the YWCA
of Williamsport, and Our Towns 2010: Chamber of Commerce Planning Commission.
