Josh Butts

Josh Butts is the Executive Assistant to the Dean of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University, where he manages a range of projects, including several faculty development programs, ad hoc task forces and communications initiatives. He coordinates various events, works on special projects as designated by the Dean, and also serves as a liaison to department chairs, program directors, faculty, staff, and administrators within the School of Arts and Sciences. Prior to attending HGSE, Josh worked as a fundraiser at the University of Chicago, where he managed Reunion fundraising campaigns and worked with donors in both the Chicago and Washington, D.C. areas. Josh chose to attend HGSE not only for its strong academic reputation, but also for the networking opportunities the higher education program presented in Boston and across the country. "I've been so impressed with the professional connections the higher education program has presented through professors, alumni and fellow students in my cohort. I have such a strong network to draw from as I move forward in my career." Josh also enjoys continued informal interaction with his classmates. "We still e-mail articles to each other about the latest news and trends in higher education. It's great to know people who have the same passion for these types of issues."
