Bruno della Chiesa leads within the Center for Educational Research and Innovation at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) several major projects highly relevant to HGSE. Particularly relevant are the project on neuroscience and education, which he has led since 1999, and the new project on Globalization and Linguistic Competencies, which started in 2007. His work links to several of our degree programs, most obviously MBE, L&L, HDP, IEP and TIE. Bruno della Chiesa’s degrees include a Maîtrise (Master's in Education), Didactique du Français Langue Etrangère (Paris III Sorbonne N.), 1985; and DEA, Didactique du Français Langue Etrangère (Paris III Sorbonne N.), 1989. His course explores foreign language learning in relation with educational neuroscience and international social and economic contexts. He spent the fall semester at HGSE at Kurt Fischer’s invitation, where in addition to teaching this course, he conducted research connected with his new project on globalization and linguistic competencies.
