Vicki A. Jacobs is associate director of the Teacher Education Program and lecturer on education at the Graduate School of Education. She also serves as director of the MidCareer Math and Science Program. As lecturer, Jacobs has taught courses on curriculum development, secondary-school reading and writing, literacy and learning, and the teaching of English. Her experience includes teaching English and composition at the secondary as well as teaching at the undergraduate level. Her publications focus on secondary literacy development and instruction and on teacher education. Currently, she serves on the Advisory Board of the the Massachusetts Academy for Teachers and is an associate of the Bard College Institute for Writing and Thinking.
