Matthew Weber is the director of digital communications strategy at the Harvard Graduate School of Education where he leads the digital, social, video, multimedia, and content production and dissemination. At HGSE, he teaches two January Term Special Topic Seminars: Building Your Digital Brand and Developing Your Media Presence. In addition to providing faculty and students with individualized media training plans, Weber created and hosts the education podcast The Harvard EdCast, and has interviewed over 200 thought leaders including Oprah Winfrey, Noam Chomsky, Jeb Bush, Arne Duncan, and Colin Powell. Outside of his Harvard work, Weber is, among other things, an Emmy-nominated and Telly Award-winning writer and producer on CTV, where his work reaches over 12 million homes across North America. Weber earned his Ed.M. in Technology, Innovation, and Education at HGSE, focusing on the informal learning of digital storytelling. He holds a M.A. in Higher Education Administration from the Boston College Lynch School of Education, a business certificate from the Carroll School of Management and Winston Center for Ethics at Boston College, and a B.A. in American Studies from the Liberal Arts Honors Program at Providence College.
