Lauren Adams holds an M.A. with distinction in childrens literature from Simmons College and is a licensed high school teacher and former Horn Book editor. She supports students in sheltered English and history classes as well as mainstream classes and works with students to develop reading comprehension, writing, speaking, and study skills. Ms. Adams also creates and teaches individual lesson plans in English and history for very low beginner student and communicates with parents, counselors, and mainstream teachers to address concerns and advocate for students. At Simmons, she was an Adjunct Faculty in the Center for the Study of Childrens Literature where she taught a course in the Survey of Childrens and Young Adult Literature.
