Regional Events

The Office of Alumni Relations has bgun to create progessional networking opportunities for graduates in major cities. In 2007, we hosted receptions in Chicago and Boston, where we will continue to build professional networks for graduates. These receptions provide a framework for professional groupings in education and encourage graduates to connect with their colleagues in similar fields of work.

Career Days

HGSE annually sponsors several special career networking events around the country. The Alumni Relations Office and the Career Services Office co-sponsor "Career Days" in New York City and Washington, D.C. Career Days are designed to connect students to alumni and HGSE graduates hosting informational career sessions at their places of work. In each city a keynote lecture is given by an area alum and a networking reception is held. Area alumni are invited to participate in Career Days as information session leaders and/or to attend the reception and faculty presentation. To volunteer to host an information session in New York City or Washington, DC, contact the Career Services Office at cso@gse.harvard.edu or call 617-495-3427.

Professional Conference Receptions

HGSE hosts several alumni receptions at education-related professional conferences throughout the nation. These receptions bring conference-attending alumni, faculty, students, and local HGSE graduates together during the professional associations' annual meetings/conferences.
