May I take the GMAT?

If you are applying to the Doctor of Education Leadership program, you may submit official scores from the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) in lieu of GRE scores.

How recent must my GMAT score be?

The test must have been taken on or after February 1, 2010 if you are applying for enrollment in the 2015-2016 academic year. Your application will not be considered complete until an official GMAT (or GRE) score report has been received.

What is the last day I can take the GMAT?

We recommend taking the GMAT no later than November 2014 in order to ensure that your official score reports reach the Admissions Office in time for the committee's review of your application. Please note that it can take 3 to 4 weeks to receive official scores from the test provider.

What is the institutional code?

You must request that official test scores be sent directly to the Admissions Office from the appropriate testing agency; photocopies of test scores are not acceptable. GMAT does not prompt you for an institution or department code specific to HGSE - simply search for Harvard Graduate School of Education.

What should I do if I took the GMAT under another name (e.g., a maiden name)?

If your credentials will be submitted under any other name, be sure to indicate this in the Personal Information section of the online application.
