Jose "Tico" Oms, MCMS

Facts:

OmsAfter graduating from North Carolina's Kenan Flagler Business School, Tico worked as a quality control manager for Dell Computers in Japan, an Asia Pacific notebook product manager in Malaysia, a vice president of operations at a Thai Internet company, and an independent consultant. "No matter my accomplishments, I did not feel fulfilled. I feel more satisfied teaching one good lesson than in hitting "revenue" targets." Tico sees the challenges that students without strong quantitative skills will face in the evolving business world, where structured, logical decision-making is becoming the norm. He has chosen teaching as his way to help.

Inside Scoop:

"Balance the work and the fun. One year flies by quickly. You'll kick yourself if you don't participate in all the available events."
