Program Description
In 1990, the Harvard Graduate School of Education established the Urban Superintendents Program to respond to the nation's call for educational leadership. The unique doctoral program has three components, each of which builds upon the other to train a new cadre of top-notch urban leaders. Students enrolled in USP complete 12 months of coursework in full-time residency at Harvard, a full-time, six-month internship in the field, and the research and writing of a qualifying paper and a dissertation, an endeavor generally requiring more than 24 months of work. |
