Ramirez compared the experiences of full-time faculty at for-profit colleges
with faculty at public and private nonprofit universities. His work was
supervised by Professors Richard Chait, committee chair, James Honan and
John Willett. Germán is currently President of Laureate, Central
America, responsible for leading Laureate International Universities
growth plans in Central America. He is also the Vice President for Product
and Network Development at Laureate and is responsible for building consistency
across the network with respect to many of its program offerings. A former
business school dean in Colombia, Germán earned his M.P.A. from
the Spanish National Institute of Public Administration, J. D. from
Los Andes University (Colombia) and B.B. A. from CESA (Colombia).
