H-107 Introduction to Education Neuroscience

This course is intended to provide students of education with an accessible introduction to neuroscience. The course is meant for students with little or no background in biology and will be appropriate for education researchers, classroom teachers, and policymakers interested in a balanced perspective about the promise and limits of linking neuroscience and education. The course will provide an overview of the developing brain, focusing on the areas that neuroscience and education have common ground. Students will acquire the skills and concepts needed in order to interpret brain research, and the knowledge required to be a critical consumer of biological knowledge.
