The Office of School PartnershipsOutreach and Registration InformationThrough the HGSE Office of School Partnerships, the James Bryant Conant Professional Development Fund provides funding (from the HGSE Financial Aid Office) for teachers and administrators from the Boston and Cambridge Public School Districts to take advantage of the professional development events and offerings provided at HGSE in workshops and institutes by The Principals' Center, Programs in Professional Education (PPE), and WIDE World - Online and On-site Professional Development. Outreach and registration are coordinated in collaboration with the professional development and superintendents' offices of the Boston and Cambridge public school districts (see below). To use a portion of the Conant Fund, teachers and administrators must first contact their district office below for approval, then register for the event or institute with one of the HGSE professional development providers and designate “Conant” as the funder for payment. The district office will monitor use of the funds and notify the HGSE Office of School Partnerships (OSP) of the registrations, and OSP will give an appropriate budget code to the HGSE provider until the fund limit ($16,000 in FY08 and FY09) is reached. The notification to OSP should include the BPS or CPS educator or administrator’s name, role (position title, grade level, etc.) and their post (school name, district wide, etc.).
