Gerald S. Lesser Professor of Early Childhood Development
The Dean establishes and communicates the strategic direction of the School, secures and allocates funding to support the School's mission, recruits faculty, and exercises broad stewardship and oversight of the School. The Dean's Office supports this work.

A member of the senior faculty, the Academic Dean advises the Dean on all major aspects of academic program and policy, is integrally involved in the identification and recruitment of new faculty and the review of existing non-tenured faculty, and takes a leadership role in the development of the School's academic programs and initiatives. |

The Administrative Dean oversees all administrative functions and services of the School. He also serves as the chief liaison to the Central Administration, sets administrative policies and procedures for the school and ensures adherence to University policies and procedural requirements, and advises the Dean and senior faculty on administrative matters. |

With the support of the Office of Academic Affairs, the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs has broad responsibility for the academic administration of HGSE, including academic appointments, curriculum, degree programs, faculty-related policies, services, and resources, and institutional research and academic planning. The Office of Academic Affairs supports the work of all standing faculty committees. The Senior Associate Dean also advises the Dean and the faculty in the development and implementation of academic policy. |

The Associate Dean for Enrollment and Student Services directs and coordinates the efforts of the Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Students Affairs and Career Services offices. |

The Associate Dean for Fiscal and Administrative Services directs and oversees the Finance and Operations departments, working closely with the Administrative Dean. |

As a member of the Office of Academic Affairs, the Assistant Dean for Master's Studies provides broad leadership and oversight of the School's thirteen Master's programs, directs programs and services to support Master's students, develops and implements policies pertaining to Master's Studies, and works closely with the faculty to ensure that the academic programs offered to Ed.M. students prepare them for careers in practice, policy, and research.

As a member of the Office of Academic Affairs, the Assistant Dean for Doctoral Studies provides broad leadership and oversight for the operation of the School's program of doctoral study, directs programs and services to support doctoral students, develops and implements policies that pertain to doctoral study, and works closely with the faculty Committee on Doctoral Programs to ensure that the academic programs offered to doctoral students prepare them for careers in academe, policy and practice.
